P.S., U.S. Proof sets are still my favorites.....especially since so many sets have been broken up for the individual proof coins inside. Great investments! Proofs and Proof sets have had a long history in US Coinage. The "modern" era really started in 1936, but was shortlived due to the start of WWII- not returning until 1950. With modern Proof Sets, the focus is on the more recent Silver Proof Sets. Many dates have increased SUBSTANTIALLY in value. Great investment!
